JONESBORO, Ark. (11/14/18) – Arkansas State head women’s bowling coach Justin Kostick has announced the signing of Julianna Spina of East Islip, N.Y., to a National Letter of Intent to continue her bowling career with the Red Wolves.

Spina is a six-year member of the East Islip Girls varsity bowling team where she helped her school to back-to-back county championships during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. She was an all-tournament selection in each of those two seasons where she averaged games of 228.6 and 222 respectively.

She is a four-time all-league selection and received all-country honors in 2016-17 and 2017-18 with averages of 198.07 and 218.1.

In 2018 she was selected to compete on the Suffolk County All-Star team where she helped the squad reach the state tournament after shooting a 256, the highest score in both the girls’ and boys’ division on the day. She was also named the Suffolk County match point winner for the 2017-18 season with a record of 29-1.

She has bowled three, 300 games in her career and has high a series of 779. She is the daughter of Jim and Andrea Spina.
