JONESBORO, Ark. (1/8/19) – Arkansas State bowlers Taylor Davis and Destiny Truly earned spots Junior Team USA after finishing fourth and fifth among juniors in the Team USA Amature Trails Sunday in Las Vegas. 

Davis, a Sophomore of Davison, Mich., earned an automatic bid on after finishing 4th among juniors and 21st overall while registering an overall scratch of 6,217 for a 207.23 match average over the five-day event.

“I’m so proud of Taylor, Julia and Destiny for making the Junior USA team,” said A-State head bowling coach Justin Kostick. “It’s a special thing to have Arkansas State make up for three of the 12 players on the junior team. 

Truly, a freshman of Minneapolis, Minn., was selected after finishing 5th among juniors and 22nd overall, while collecting an overall scratch of 6,123 seeing a 204.10 match average. 

Julia Huren a Westland, Mich., native also made the junior team in July where she knocked down 5,224 pins for a 200.92 per match average. 

A-State bowling returns to action Jan 11-13 at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro at Hijinx.
