JONESBORO, Ark. (2/6/19) – Arkansas State sophomore sprinters Ke'von Holder and Caitland Smith have been named the Sun Belt Conference’s Athletes’ of the Week after their outstanding performances over the weekend in the state of Texas.

Holder sprinted to the top of the Sun Belt Conference performance list in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.91 seconds at the Texas Tech Open. That time ranks as the third-fastest in A-State program history and top-50 nationally.

Smith continued her strong indoor season with a first place finish in the 60-meter dash at the Texas Tech Open. She sprinted to the win with a season-best and Sun Belt Conference leading time of 7.40 seconds. That time ranks third in A-State program history and top-40 nationally. She took second place in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 23.92 seconds, the third-fastest time in program history and second-fastest in the Sun Belt this year.
