JONESBORO, Ark. (2/7/19) – Arkansas State bowling’s Denisyha Waller was named the Southland Bowler of the Month for January, the league announced Thursday.

Waller led the A-State to two second-place finishes at the Mid-Winter Classic and the Kutztown Invitational while earning all-tournament honors at each event.

“I’m very happy for Denisyha,” said A-State head coach Justin Kostick. “Even though she is a senior, it took her a little while to get adjusted. She has had a really strong second-half and I hope she continues to grow as a player.”

The Markham, ill., native recorded back-to-back 233.00 averages at the Mid-Winter Classic and the Kutztown Invitational.

The Red Wolves return to action Friday, Feb. 15-17 to compete in the Stephen F. Austin Stormin’ Lady Jack Classic.
