JONESBORO, Ark. (4/12/19) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department announced Friday that the Red Wolves’ 2019 Thanksgiving-weekend football game in Mobile, Ala., against South Alabama has been moved from Saturday, Nov. 30, to Friday, Nov. 29.
A-State will face the Jaguars in its regular-season finale the week prior to the Sun Belt Conference’s championship game, set for Saturday, Dec. 7. Kickoff time for A-State’s game against South Alabama is still to be determined and will be announced at a later date.
The date change, which has been approved by the Sun Belt Conference, marks the second consecutive year South Alabama has moved its Senior Day home game from a Saturday to a Friday.
The Red Wolves and Jaguars are set to meet for the eighth time overall and the fourth time at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. A-State holds a 6-1 advantage in the all-time series dating back to the 2012 season.
Arkansas State will open its 2019 season Saturday, Aug. 31, with a home game against SMU. Season tickets are currently on sale through the A-State Ticket Office, located at First National Bank Arena’s lower red entrance.
