Kenton Aubrey is in his first season as director of scouting with A-State men's basketball.
He spent the last three seasons with the Purdue Fort Wayne men's basketball program. He spent two seasons as a graduate assistant and most recently was the team's director of operations.
Prior to his time with the Mastadons, he served as an assistant coach for Indiana University Southeast. At IU Southeast, Aubrey handled multiple duties, such as scouting of opponents, individually working with guards and post players, recruiting student athletes and team travel. He played at IU Southeast from 2010-2011, winning a conference championship and qualifying for the NAIA national tournament.
Prior to serving as an assistant at IU Southeast Aubrey served as a student manager for Western Kentucky University helping the staff with various duties, such as practice drills, team travel, statistical analytics and scouting of opponents. He also helped the staff with the set-up and running of summer camps.
Aubrey received his degree from Western Kentucky University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Health. He later earned his masters degree from Purdue Fort Wayne.
