• The Red Wolves hit the road for one of only two road games this month as they take on the Troy Trojans Thursday night. The game can be seen on ESPN3 while Matt Stolz will bring the play-by-play action on the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network and flagship station 107.9 KFIN.
• The Red Wolves have had a player score 20 or more points in 16 of 24 games this year.
• Deven Simms logged his 11th outing with 20 or more points with his 24 point performance against Georgia Southern.
• A-State has scored 90 or more points in five games this season, most since the 2001-02 club had seven such outings.
• The Red Wolves have two 90-plus point efforts in league play, most since the 1999-2000 season in which A-State also had two such games.
Deven Simms scored 28 points against Georgia State to mark his most points scored in a Sun Belt Conference outing.
• A-State is 6-1 when leading at halftime, but 3-14 when tied (1-2) or trailing (2-12) at the break.   
Deven Simms has more made 3-pointers (30) in 23 games played this year than he had in 30 games played last year (12).
Tamas Bruce shot 37.7 percent (29-77) at the charity stripe last season. So far this season, Bruce is hitting 66.2 percent (45-68).
• The Red Wolves play five home games in February for the second-straight season and eighth time in 31 seasons at First National Bank Arena.
• A-State has played just three of the 18 Division I basketball programs in the state of North Carolina (Appalachian State, East Carolina and North Carolina A&T).
