JONESBORO, Ark. (11/17/18) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team has announced the signing of Murfreesboro, Tenn., native Sarah Sanes to a National Letter of Intent to continue her collegiate career with the Red Wolves.

Sanes is a three-time Junior Gold runner-up across two different age groups and has competed on the Puerto Rico National Team since 2015 where has won MVP awards at the U-15 and U-20 levels. She also won the Sportsmanship Award at the Tournament of the American’s while representing Puerto Rico in 2016.

She has won 20 medals in her junior career, including nine gold, seven silver and four bronze. She helped lead Blackman High School Collegiate Academy to a state semifinal appearance in 2018 and was named an All-Area bowler that season.

Sanes won a state championship in 2015 in singles’, scratch and all events categories. She has bowled one 300 game in her career and has achieved a high series of 740 six times. In 2014 she was named a David Dahms Sportsmanship Award recipient, which is given annually to one male and female participant of the three divisions at the Junior Gold Tournament.  She is the daughter of Ray and Lori Sanes.
