JONESBORO, Ark. (10/30/17) – The Sun Belt Conference announced Monday that Arkansas State’s Nov. 11 football game at South Alabama will be broadcast on ESPN3. The game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium has been scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. (CT) kickoff.
A-State, which has an open week before facing the Jaguars, holds a 5-2 overall record that matches its best ever through seven games since joining the FBS in 1992 (2006, 2011, 2017). The Red Wolves stand 4-0 in Sun Belt action for the third consecutive season and fourth time in school history (2011, 2015-17).
South Alabama will carry a 3-5 overall mark and 2-2 league record into its game this Saturday against Louisiana. The Jaguars are 2-2 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium this season and will wrap up their home schedule against the Red Wolves.
Arkansas State defeated South Alabama 17-7 last season at Centennial Bank Stadium to run its all-time record against the Jaguars to 5-0 in the Sun Belt Conference series that dates back to just 2012.
The Red Wolves picked up a 49-31 road win in 2015 and a 45-10 home victory in 2014, which came one year after escaping the 2013 meeting with a narrow 17-16 win in Mobile. A-State also won the initial game between the two teams by a 36-29 score in Jonesboro in 2012.
