EL DORADO, Ark. (10/30/17) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team completed the second round of the Duck Commander Intercollegiate in a tie for fifth place with Little Rock after shooting a second-round 311 at the Mystic Golf Club.

The Red Wolves have carded a 614 total through 36 holes and currently sit only one stroke behind third-place teams UNC Wilmington and Central Arkansas and just four strokes behind first-place Eastern Kentucky.

A-State has two players currently among the top 25 leaders and tied for 21st place. Junior Jakub Bares and redshirt junior Trent Jones carded a second-round 79 and 77, respectfully, and each has a 154 total.

Senior Tanner Napier stands just two strokes behind them in a tie for 27th place after recording a second-round 81, giving him a combined 156. Junior Joel Wendin is tied for 32nd with a 157 total after also recording an 81 in the second round. Sophomore Zan Luka Stirn is tied for 36th place after recording a team-low 74 in the second round to finish the day with a combined 159.

Also competing for the Red Wolves as an individual, senior Kevin Kramarski is tied for 57th after shooting a second-round 86 and a 166 total.

The third-and-final round will be played on Tuesday.
