STORYLINES

• Arkansas State plays host to Texas State on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in one of only two home games in January for the Red Wolves.
• A-State has compiled a 301-118 (.718) record in 31 seasons at First National Bank Arena, including a 144-82 (.637) mark against Sun Belt foes.
• The Red Wolves have seen a player score 20 or more points in 11 of 17 games this year.
• A-State is 4-1 when leading at halftime, but 2-10 when tied (1-2) or trailing (1-8) at the break.
Deven Simms has more made 3-pointers (19) in 16 games played this year than he had in 30 games played last year (12).
• A-State has logged 111 steals thus far, an average of 6.5 per game. If the Red Wolves sustain that rate, they'd have only the fifth season with 200 or more steals since the turn of the century.
Grantham Gillard has a team-high 23 rebounds over the last three outings. He has nine boards in each of the last two games.
Salif Boudie has two fewer rebounds in 10 games this year (41) than he had in 22 games played last year (43).
• With 24 points at Georgia State, Deven Simms posted his 10th career outing with 20 or more points, seventh this season.
