The role of the Arkansas State University Sports Medicine Department is to serve as the primary healthcare providers for all A-State student-athletes. Our goal is to ensure all the student-athletes achieve their optimal performance through the prevention of injury; recognition, evaluation, and assessment of athletic injuries/illness; immediate care of athletic injuries/illness; and rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries. Advanced care is facilitated through the Sports Medicine Department to a multi-disciplinary network of healthcare professionals in the community and surrounding region.
