2013:  First Team All-Sun Belt Conference choice . . . Named Sports Illustrated All-America as an honorable mention selection . . . 2014 GoDaddy Bowl Defensive MVP . . . College Sports Madness (CSM) Fist Team All-SBC . . . Preseason first team all-conference by Athlons, CBSSports.com, CSM, Lindy’s, Phil Steele’s and Sporting News . . . Started every game and became the first A-State player to record over 100 tackles in back-to-back seasons since linebacker Les Echols in 2002 (105) and 2003 (123) . . . Finished the season with a team-high 134 tackles, which were the sixth most in school history and the most by an A-State player since 1991 . . . His tackles total not only led the Sun Belt Conference and ranked 12th in the nation for the season, they rank as the third most ever by a Sun Belt player (just two behind Idaho’s Cole Snyder’s 136 recorded in 2004 and 18 short of the record 154 tallied by Florida Atlantic’s Frantz Joseph in 2008) . . . Recorded a career-high 16 tackles at South Alabama to earn College Sports Madness’ Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor . . . 2012:  Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference . . . Named the GoDaddy.com Bowl Defensive MVP after recording a game-high 13 tackles, one tackle for loss and two pass break-ups . . . Came up with the fourth-down tackle at ASU’s 20-yard line with 52 seconds left to preserve A-State’s win over Kent State in the GoDaddy.com Bowl . . . Named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week after recording a game-high 12 tackles, an interception and a pass break-up during Arkansas State’s 34-20 victory at Florida International . . . Finished the year with a career-best 100 tackles (59 solo/41 assists), which were the second most on the team and the third most by an ASU player since 2007 . . . Ranked sixth in the Sun Belt Conference and 75th in the nation in tackles per game (8.3) . . . Recorded double-figure tackles in three games, including a career-high 15 against Nebraska when he also recorded a fumble for a touchdown . . . Tallied at least three tackles in every game, over five in 10 outings and eight or more seven times (including the last four consecutive games of the season) . . . Posted five pass breakups and two forced fumbles on the year as well . . . Played in 11 games, including nine as a starter . . . Fourth team preseason All-Sun Belt Conference selection by Phil Steele’s.

2011:  Played in all 13 games, including 2 as a starter . . . Recorded 49 tackles (26 solo/23 assisted), including 4.5 tackles for loss . . . Also posted 0.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 pass break-ups and one blocked punt . . . Recorded a career-high 7 tackles against both Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois and recorded at least 4 tackles in seven games . . . Recorded 1 tackle for loss in four different games . . . Recorded his interceptions against Western Kentucky and Florida International.

2010:  Redshirted and participated on the scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL:  First Team All-State selection by Alabama Sports Writers Association in 2009 . . . Named all-county and all-metro as a senior . . . Posted 85 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, one sack and a fumble recovery while helping lead the Lions to the 2009 state championship game . . . Recorded 63 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries as a junior during Prattville’s state championship run . . . Lettered in basketball.
