2015:  Ray Guy Award Watch List . . . Phil Steele’s second team Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference punter . . . Athlon Sports third team Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference punter . . . Enters the 2015 season with a career 42.1 yard average per punt, the second highest in school history behind only Ryan Smith’s 42.8 average from 1998-99.

2014:  Ray Guy Award candidate . . . Phil Steele’s Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference punter . . . Named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and CFPA national Honorable Mention Specialist of the Week for his performance in the season opener against Montana State, when he scored a career-high 13 points by kicking to tie the seventh most in school history for a single game.  He went 3-of-3 on field goal attempts and also averaged 48.5 yards on four punts in the game, placing all four attempts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.  His three field goals made were a career high . . . Recorded a career-best 22 punts inside the 20-yard line for a 1.7 average per game . . . Had at least one punt inside the opponent’s 20-yard line in all but three games . . . Led by Ferguson, the punting unit ranked No. 9 in the nation in punt return defense, allowing just 3.1 yards per return . . . The same unit also ranked No. 19 in the nation in net punting with a 39.82 average . . . Ferguson ranked No. 6 in the Sun Belt in punting average (41.4), but his 22 punts inside the 20 tied the second most in the league . . . Led the team in punts (56) and punting yards (2,319) with a career-long of 69 yards . . . Exclusively handled kickoffs for an A-State team that ranked No. 4 in the nation in kickoff return defense (16.3 yards per return) . . . Kicked off 80 times with 35 touchbacks . . . Made 8-of-15 field goal attempts, which were both the most on the team . . . Made a career-long 46-yard attempt . . . Averaged 0.62 field goals (8 total) per game to rank eighth in the Sun Belt . . . 36 extra points made were the seventh most in school history . . . Also recorded two tackles, caught one pass for a loss of two yards and completed 1-of-2 passes for 24 yards . . . Athletic Director’s Honor Roll member.

2013:  Played in 10 games as a sophomore, splitting punting duties with Paul Jones . . . Averaged a team-high 43.8 yards per punt, which ranked as the fourth highest in the Sun Belt Conference in 2013 . . . Punting average was also the second highest in school history for a single season behind only Ryan Smith’s 44.4 average in 1999 . . . Posted season highs for longest punt (63 vs. Troy), punt yards (231 at Memphis), punt average (49.0 at Auburn), total punts (5 at Memphis) and punts inside the 20 (2 vs Louisiana-Lafayette) . . . Recorded 1,007 punt yards on 27 attempts with eight total kicks pinning the opponent inside its 20 . . . Also had five punts travel over 50 yards . . . Kicked off one time . . . Athletics Director’s Honor Roll member . . . Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.

2012:  Played in 10 games, handling kickoff duties . . . Kicked off a team-high 46 times for 2,585 yards and an average of 56.2 yards . . . Was responsible for 11 touchbacks . . . A-State Athletic Director’s and Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll member.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Three-year varsity football letterman . . . Played both K and WR . . . team captain as a senior . . . All-conference choice as Jr. and all-state as a Sr. . . .
