This year's schedule will return to a Thursday-Saturday doubleheader format with 18 games scheduled for both the men's and women's schedules. The only exception to the format is the opening week when teams will play on Friday and Sunday to allow extra time off for the holiday period.

The 18-game format will allow for less travel time with team's making four road trips throughout the season that will consist of two games each. Travel partners will be used, with team's receiving an open date before playing their rivalry opponent each time throughout the year.
