JONESBORO, Ark. (10/6/17) – The Arkansas State Department of Athletics has announced plans for a men’s basketball scrimmage and fan fest Wednesday night, October 11, inside the Convocation Center.

The Scarlet & Black Scrimmage and Fan Fest is FREE with doors opening to the Convocation Center at 6:00 p.m. The A-State men’s basketball team will be introduced at 6:25 with a scrimmage to follow at 6:30 p.m.

The 40 minute scrimmage will mimic a game with the four media timeouts each half. During those timeouts, fans will be introduced to the volleyball team in addition to various games with students and A-State celebrity participants.

The volleyball team will sign autographs during the event with men’s basketball signing for fans following the scrimmage. A kid’s zone will be set up on the north concourse and DJ King Vick will provide music throughout the night. The A-State Homecoming Court will be introduced during the festivities and first year men’s basketball head coach Mike Balado will take questions from fans. A $2 concession menu will be available in the yellow entrance.

The lone exhibition contest for A-State is scheduled for November 4 at 7:00 p.m. against Harding inside the Convocation Center.  The Red Wolves open the regular season Friday, November 10 at Evansville before the home opener on Monday, November 13 against Howard.

Fans will have an additional opportunity to meet the team at ‘Boots & Ballers’ October 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets and more information on ‘Boots & Ballers’ is available by calling 870-972-2781.
