JONESBORO, Ark. (10/28/18) – The Arkansas State women’s soccer team has earned the No. 7 seed in this week’s Sun Belt Conference Soccer Championship and will take on No. 2 Little Rock Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.

A-State finished the regular season with an 8-7-2 record and a 5-5-0 mark in league play for a total of 15 points. Texas State claimed the regular season championship with an unblemished 8-0-2 record for a total of 26 points. Little Rock finished in second place with 22 points, followed by Coastal Carolina with 21 pints.

Wednesday’s afternoon’s meeting with the Trojans will mark the second straight season that the two programs have faced one another in the SBC Tournament. The all-time series stands at 8-10-1 with the Little Rock having won each of the last two matchups.

With a victory, Arkansas State will advance to the semifinals for the third time in its history and would take on the winner of No. 3 Coastal Carolina and No. 6 Georgia State on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.

All three rounds of the Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament will air on ESPN+, the first-ever multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from ESPN.
