JONESBORO, Ark. (3/1/18) – The third-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team will be traveling to Lincoln, Neb., to compete in the Big Red Invitational at Sun Valley Lanes, March 2-4.

The tournament features 10 teams, including each of the top three teams in the country and six ranked teams overall. The list of teams competing includes No. 1 Nebraska, No. 2 McKendree, No. 15 Central Missouri, No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 22 Maryville, No. 25 Valparaiso, Prairie View A&M, Drury and Lincoln University (Mo.).

Friday’s action starts at 1:20 p.m., with four sets of five-game Baker matches followed by five games of traditional team matches on Saturday, which will start at 8:25 a.m. Competition will conclude with a two-round best-of-seven Baker format championship tournament on Sunday , which will begin at 8:55 a.m.

A-State (64-27) won last year’s Big Red Invitational as three Red Wolves were placed on the all- tournament team, with Jordan Richard claiming tournament MVP with a total pinfall of 1,234 (246.80 per game). She was joined by teammates Haley Richard and Jadee Scott-Jones, who finished second and fourth, respectively, in the individual standings.
