2008:  Mingo completed his first season in a Red Wolves uniform with 21 tackles (15 solo, 6 assisted), one tackle for loss of seven yards, one interception returned for 20 yards and two pass break-ups . . . Posted a season-high six tackles against Louisiana-Monroe, also posting his interception against the Warhawks . . . Recorded multiple tackles in four games and had four or more stops in three contests . . . 21 total tackles ranked 12th on the team and third among cornerbacks. 

TRINITY VALLEY CC:  2007 First Team NJCAA All-America, first team all-region, first team all-conference.

HIGH SCHOOL:  While at Terrell High School, earned first team all-state and first team all-district honors as a defensive back . . . Four-year high school varsity football letterman . . . Played running back and defensive back in high school . . . High school 400 meter event . . . Also recruited by LSU, Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Southern Miss, Texas A&M and Baylor.
