Chabot (CA) Junior College:  Named All-Golden Gate Conference and All-Region II last season as an offensive tackle for the Gladiators . . . Named the top performer at the 2008 JCFootball.com NorCal Combine.

High School:  Football and track and field letterman at Hayward High School . . . Competed in the shot put in high school .

Personal:  Also recruited by Marshall and Miami . . . ASU offensive line coach Darren Hiller also played Chabot Junior College in 1990 and 1991.
