JONESBORO, Ark. (11/9/17) – The third-ranked Arkansas State bowling squad is set to compete in the Warhawk Classic Nov. 10-12, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Sheridan Lanes in Kenosha, Wis.

Play begins Friday at 11 a.m. with five sets of Baker total pinfall games. It continues Saturday at 9:35 a.m. with five sets of traditional team games and concludes Sunday at 8 a.m. with best-of-seven Baker matches in the bracket-play tournament.

A-State (18-8) is one of 13 ranked teams competing amongst the top 20 in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association national rankings. Other competing teams include No. 1 McKendree, No. 2 Nebraska, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Stephen F. Austin, No. 8 Fairleigh Dickinson, No. 9 Sacred Heart, No. 10 Central Missouri, No. 11 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 13 Monmouth, No. 14 Saint Francis University, No. 15 Adelphi and No. 16 Long Island Brooklyn. Other teams competing in the Warhawk Classic include Elmhurst College, Lincoln Memorial, Maryville University and Valparaiso University.

Last year, the Red Wolves claimed their first title of the season at the Warhawk Classic after defeating McKendree in game seven to take home the tournament title.

Arkansas State returns to action after the winter break with its home tournament, the Mid-Winter Invitational, as its next scheduled event. The tournament will take place Jan. 12-14 at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center in Jonesboro.
